How do I buy something that Eric made?

Unfortunately we do not offer many items handcrafted by Eric Hollenbeck at this time. He is a very busy man taking care of the Millworks and all of the projects that entails, as well as filming his TV show. The closest thing we have would be our decorative Old Growth Redwood wall hangings, which was a collaborative effort between Eric, Cesar, Denise, & Kenny. The second best option would be some of Eric’s original poetry such as Trees and People, A Craftsman’s Prayer, or Uncle Sam’s Tour Guide to Southeast Asia - which recounts his time spent in Vietnam. And who could forget the splendid sawdust sparkles, our glorious man glitter!

Do you ship everywhere in the US and Internationally?

Blue Ox General Store does not have the capacity to ship delicate and fragile items internationally at this time. However - books and apparel are available to be shipped worldwide.

Please note, international customers are responsible for paying duties/taxes upon delivery

BOGS uses USPS and sometimes UPS for shipping, so shipping can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the location. Sometimes orders might take a little longer if there are unforeseen delays impacting the postal services. Once the order is with the USPS/UPS we are no longer in control. Please see our return policy if an item arrives damaged.

Customers purchasing T-Shirts will receive a confirmation email from our third-party printing company which should include your tracking information once your product ships. These orders tend to take a bit longer as they are printed/embroidered on demand, and can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to arrive at your home.

When will I get my order?

We ship using USPS First Class Mail - delivery time is usually between 3-5 business days. Our office is open Monday-Friday so orders placed on the weekend will not be processed until the office is open.

Customers ordering T-Shirts have a bit more of a wait. Our T-Shirts are printed on demand so they can take anywhere from 1-5 weeks for the full process of ordering to receiving. You will receive an email when your t-shirt order ships.

All times and dates given for delivery of the products are given in good faith but are estimates only.

What will my order look like when it arrives in the mail?

The Blue Ox has always been conscious of our eco-footprint ever since we first opened our doors in 1973 as a salvage logging mill. We love to care for the environment as we regularly practice recycling and reusing, and hope to inspire others to do the same. 

All of our packaging materials are either compostable or recyclable (excluding the tape on the box and/or recycled bubble wrap). 

Some products will arrive in a compostable bag made of corn starch, this bag can be placed in a compost bin or an at home garden compost bin. Delicate items are wrapped in recyclable kraft paper, newspaper, or other donated packaging materials we are reusing. There may be some inconsistency with this based on the materials we have on hand at the moment, but we appreciate you putting our environment before aesthetics.

If you would like to donate any newspaper, kraft paper, bubble wrap, honeycomb wrap or biodegradable packing peanuts please get in contact at info@blueoxmillsgeneralstore.com. We are always looking to reuse packaging before buying so we can have a minimal impact on the environment.

Returns & Refunds

We always want you to love what you purchase from us, but in case there is a problem with your order we will work together to solve it!

In order to be eligible for a refund, the product must be returned within 30 calendar days of the purchase in its original condition with tags attached and proof of receipt. Blue Ox General Store unfortunately cannot cover any shipping charges on returns unless the item is broken or incorrect.

After we receive your item, our team of professionals will inspect it and process your refund. The money will be refunded to the original payment method you’ve used during the purchase. Credit card payments may take 5 to 10 business days for a refund to show up on your bank statement.

All discounted, sale, and commissioned items are final sale and will not be accepted as returns.

Damaged Items

We take care in packing our orders so they are nice and snug, but sometimes couriers have other plans in mind.

Should you receive a damaged item, please take a photo of the item and package which clearly displays the damage and attach it to the online contact form within 24 hours of receiving your item, along with a description of the damaged item and your contact details. We also recommend taking photos of not only the damaged items, but of the packaging itself in order to open a claim with the mail carrier.

Once we receive your request form and assess the damage, we will be in contact with you to determine the needed outcome. 

Gift Receipts

Unfortunately our website does not allow us to issue gift receipts. Gifts purchased for other people would need to be returned by the purchaser. See above for shipping terms on returned items.
